If I understand it right, it was a tv contracting oversight that limited the number of games held on Fridays. Details man.

Thankfully we have AFCON.

The Premier League statement in October talked extensively about player welfare/time between matches, but a contractural snafu would make sense. Also feels like something that the most powerful league in the world could have sorted out fairly easily?

But yes, Egypt-South Africa is up next!

AFCON round 2 fixtures resumes on Boxing Day so there'll still be plenty of football to watch, i.e. if you're following AFCON.
